I do have the same issue as you described above ,in essence I can open. Try disabling opendns's "Block internal IP addresses" security.
E.g., if I block facebook.com, will that not only block me from accessing it via one of its IPv4. Using IP addresses involves DNS in no way.
Do you possibly have amazonaws.com or any of their subdomains blocked? Pretty sure you have. Or you don't keep your IP address.
Yes, it would help. OpenDNS as DNS service cannot block based on URL or IP address anyway. This is not information you send to them with.
